I was asked to design an interior lobby sculpture for a new Public Safety training facility for the City of Woodbury, Minnesota. The facility serves the City Police, Firefighters, and EMT services and the challenge was to produce a piece that would represent increased coordination between the City service personnel and create a visual street presence for the facility. I chose to do this through graphic symbols and LED lighting effects which are particularly effective in the evening when the facility is most heavily used. The background LED lights reference major star positions on the date the building was dedicated. 2011
